The dross is still blown into the water due to the 60 odd psi of pressure on a cut, but less water spray meant less dross sticking to the metal, cleaner cuts and a smaller air extraction system was required. The best system to keep down the pollutants was thought to be a water tray that is about 2 to 3 inches deep, with about 4 to 6 inches between the water and the work. I think the extra work became a non starterr. The CrossFire PRO CNC plasma machine was designed to be a complete out-of-the box solution for CNC plasma cutting. The other option was to possibly lift the Y axis up by extending the height of the sides to give more clearance. You can cut the same box over and over or create new cardboard box files for any item you sell.

One issue that I seem to remember with Neds first table was that the main x axis is down the middle of the table, so consider the work area gets replaced by slats and the crud will be blown with force downwards and possibly onto the ballscrew.
